Role Overview
This is a professional position focused on collecting, analyzing and presenting data to support business decision making.
As a Business Metrics Analyst, you will play a key role in driving business growth by providing actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
You will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, translating business needs into clear technical specifications and working closely with development teams to ensure deliverables meet functional objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collect and document business requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
* Translate business needs into clear and structured technical specifications
* Work closely with development teams to ensure deliverables meet functional objectives
* Monitor and optimize the team's workflow pipeline
* Support the design and maintenance of dashboards and analytical/operational reports
* Produce reporting documents to share across different business areas
* Prepare steering materials by consolidating information from multiple teams
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or related field
* Experience as a Business Analyst / Functional Analyst with a focus on data
* Proven experience in gathering and documenting requirements
* Strong communication skills for working directly with stakeholders and technical teams
* SQL knowledge (basic to intermediate) for queries and data validation
* Experience in documenting processes, reports and dashboards (Power BI, Tableau or advanced Excel)
* Ability to translate business needs into clear technical specifications
* Valued (not mandatory): familiarity with observability tools (Grafana, Kibana, Elasticsearch) with a focus on dashboard interpretation
* Excellent teamwork, proactivity and results-oriented mindset
* Attention to detail and rigor in documentation and follow-up of deliverables
* Excellent communication skills in English (B2)
* Residency in Portugal (citizenship, residence permit/work visa) — mandatory
