Junior Financial Controller Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Financial Analyst to join our team in Portugal. This role will ensure the accuracy of financial data, compliance with regulations, and the smooth execution of day-to-day accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accounting for the Portuguese entity, including registration of supplier invoices, issuance of client invoices, bank reconciliations, and entries.
* Monitoring issued and received invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
* Processing monthly invoice payments according to internal procedures and timelines.
* Performing intercompany balance reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy across entities.
* Preparing monthly information required by external accountants to generate the closing of the different entities.
* Supporting the audit process of the Portuguese entities.
* Providing regulatory reporting information required by local authorities (CMVM and BdP – Banco de Portugal).
* Assisting the Corporate team in administrative tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
* Minimum 1-3 years of work experience in similar roles.
* Understanding of financial reporting and consolidation processes.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Full proficiency in English.
