Work description
* Conduct a survey of the computational and hardware requirements to be integrated into the UAV under development.
* Development of Deep Learning algorithms for processing information from visible spectrum cameras, thermographic cameras, and LiDAR systems.
* Exploration of 3D position estimation techniques based on information from deep learning algorithms.
* Implementation of the algorithms in the ROS framework.
* Exercise critical thinking in evaluating the research process and the results obtained.
Academic Qualifications
* Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, bioengineering, or related field.
Minimum profile required
* Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Over 2 years of proven experience in the development of robotic platforms in terms of hardware and software.
* Previous participation in national and European robotics projects.
Preference factors
* Over 3 years of experience in the development, conceptualization, and design of autonomous aerial vehicles.
* Robot operative system ROS/ROS2, PX4, LiDAR, Stereo and Monocular vision, Perception, AI, ML, Path Planning Control, Sensor Fusion Algorithms.
* Previous experience in Deep Learning with LiDAR and vision systems.
* Previous experience in the acquisition and processing of LiDAR and visible spectrum and thermographic cameras.
* Previous experience in AutoPilots for UAVs.
