What We're Looking ForWe are seeking a Senior Interior Designer who:Demonstrates, through every aspect of who they are, a passionate love of design, art and beauty.Works alongside our Directors and Associates at the highest level to lead multiple and varied IA and FF&E projects, supported by junior team members.Is confident, trustworthy, dynamic, and charming — able to hold their own with clients, consultants, suppliers, contractors, and fabricators.Takes responsibility to ensure studio delivers a seamless service.Has strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor more junior designers.Possesses a proactive nature, sharp instincts, and an openness to feedback.RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have:A degree (or equivalent) in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.5+ years post-graduate experience .
Full proficiency in Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Suite .
Strong Interior design background, with excellent technical ability and a broad knowledge of materials.A passion for FF&E, with extensive knowledge of suppliers, products, and finishes.
(Procurement experience a plus.)Experience across all project stages, from concept to completion.Awareness of project programs, deadlines, and budgets.An exceptional eye for scale, balance, detail, and colour .
Verbal and written communication skills fluent in English & Portuguese.The RoleCreative DirectionLead the creative and conceptual stages of projects with Directors and Associates.Present and sell design concepts to clients.Design & Project ManagementProvide strong project leadership with clear, consistent client communication.Deliver expert space planning, with knowledge of planning processes and building regulations.Attend design team meetings, supporting both conceptual and technical processes.Management in developing project timelines and progress reports.Ensure efficient project close-out, resolving snags quickly.Interior Design ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with clients to understand needs, preferences, and budgets.Introduce clients to Rory and key members of the design team.Source and procure FF&E, fixtures, and accessories.Oversee project implementation, ensuring quality and timelines are met.Conduct site visits to monitor progress, troubleshoot, and ensure client satisfaction.
