Purpose
* You will be responsible for executing management strategies from HQ, focusing on coating, Passive Fire Protection, tank lining integrity and Corrosion Under Insulation inspections/surveys within the fleet.
* You will coordinate and oversee inspection/survey activities across regions, ensuring coatings, PFP, Tank Lining Integrity surveys and CUI inspection activities are completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
* You will support offshore Fabric Maintenance Supervisors/Coating Inspectors in all aspects of Coating work onboard, including analysis of Fabric Maintenance baseline corrosion data and risk-based prioritisation of external corrosion tasks.
* You will plan and ensure readiness for execution of external corrosion scopes of work as per Fabric Maintenance corrosion management tool requirements.
* You will conduct regular Fabric Maintenance audits onboard each FPSO.
* You will oversee Tank Lining Integrity Surveys, planning tank availability, liaising with 3rd Party Surveyors, managing survey execution, reviewing results and planning corrective actions.
* You will work closely with Naval Architect colleagues to manage defects found during TLI surveys, particularly localised corrosion in tank bottoms.
* You will upload TLI Final Reports into neo.
* You will participate in biweekly meetings with offshore teams to ensure follow-up repairs and corrective actions are executed with robust Quality Control.
* You will monitor and report progress of Fabric Maintenance KPIs and provide feedback to relevant leads.
* You will provide technical support and training to offshore teams and clients where required.
* You will oversee corrective actions carried out from PFP and CUI inspection activities.
Education
* Bachelor's degree or Higher National Certificate/Diploma in Applied Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or related fields.
* Certified Coating Inspector NACE CIP (now AMPP) Level ll, FROSIO Level ll or above.
* Offshore Corrosion Assessment Technician (O-CAT) Certification or Shipboard Corrosion Assessment Technician (S-CAT) Certification or equivalent certification is an advantage.
Experience
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role with Fabric Maintenance Coating background (Coating Chemist or Coating Technician).
* Proven experience in development of Coatings, Tank Linings, Pressure Vessel Linings, Epoxy Passive Fire Protection and testing of Coatings within a Laboratory environment.
* Previous experience in managing offshore Fabric Maintenance Coating activities is required.
* Strong knowledge of galvanized surfaces and differing Corrosion Resistant Alloys such as 316 Stainless Steel, Duplex Stainless Steel and Super Duplex Stainless Steel and generic coating types required for these alloys.
* Good knowledge of Epoxy Passive Fire Protection is an advantage.
* Application of Tank Linings and Pressure Vessel Linings is necessary, demonstrating competencies in replacing or repairing internal Lining systems.
