Junior PHP Developer - Lisbon - Hybrid
About the Role
We're looking for a motivated Junior PHP Developer to join our growing development team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to build hands-on experience working on real-world projects, learning from experienced developers, and developing their technical skills in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
* Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining web applications using PHP
* Work with senior developers to build new features and improve existing systems
* Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
* Troubleshoot and debug issues across applications
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers and product managers
* Participate in code reviews and team discussions
Requirements
* Basic experience with PHP (academic, personal, or commercial projects)
* Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
* Familiarity with MySQL or other relational databases
* Knowledge of version control systems (e.G. Git)
* Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills
* Good problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to Have
* Experience with frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony
* Exposure to APIs and RESTful services
* Understanding of MVC architecture
* Basic knowledge of cloud platforms or DevOps practices
