Role Purpose
The Regional Event Operations Specialist supports regional business leaders and their teams in navigating
event intake, planning, procurement, spend visibility, and compliance requirements
.
The role provides
hands-on operational execution
, primarily through internal systems and structured processes, helping prevent avoidable delays and risks while improving governance and transparency of event spend across the region.

Key Responsibilities
Act as the
regional point of contact
for qualifying events above defined thresholds
Support stakeholders across the full operational lifecycle:
Event intake and planning
Procurement and purchasing processes
Spend tracking and cost control
Compliance and governance adherence
Provide
hands-on execution
in internal systems and workflows
Work closely with
senior regional and global stakeholders
Identify risks, gaps, and delays early, and
escalate issues when required
Bring structure and clarity to
ambiguous or loosely defined requests
Drive follow-through across multiple handoffs, approvals, and deadlines
Identify recurring process pain points and propose improvement opportunities

Required Experience
Strong hands-on experience in procurement or purchasing
Experience in
process-driven, compliance-heavy environments
, such as:
Event operations (execution/governance side)
Procurement or purchasing operations
Shared services
Marketing operations or program operations
Proven experience handling
complex workflows with multiple approvals
Experience working in
large, matrixed, enterprise organizations

Strong stakeholder management and professional communication
Execution-focused (not coordination-only)
Comfortable operating in
complex and ambiguous environments
High attention to detail and strong operational judgment
Comfortable working across
