Our client is a leading multinational company in the financial sector, with a strong international presence, seeking to strengthen its Operational Services Middle Office team in Portugal through the recruitment of a Financial Instrument Data Management Officer.
This professional will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial instrument reference data used across the organization.
The role involves monitoring and validating data feeds, defining and tracking quality indicators, and identifying opportunities for process automation and optimization.
Working closely with IT and other internal stakeholders, the Financial Instrument Data Management Officer will play a key role in ensuring seamless data flows, resolving issues, and supporting projects related to reference data strategy, systems integration, and process improvement.
Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience in financial services, ideally in data management or operations-focused roles;
- Familiarity with financial instruments across multiple asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives, etc.) and market data;
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to data quality;
- Experience working with data systems or market data providers (e.G., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.);
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across Operations and IT teams;
- Proficiency in Python and data analytics tools;
knowledge of SQL or scripting languages is an advantage.
