IT Operations Technician Role
Location: Lisbon
Shifts: 8:00–16:00 or 16:00–00:00 (2 shifts, 24/7 coverage)
About the Job
We are seeking a skilled IT Operations Technician to join our Global Command Center team. As a key member of this team, you will play a vital role in monitoring and supporting critical IT operations.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring the execution of batch jobs using Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS)
* Processing and escalating system errors and alerts following predefined instructions
* Navigating Unix/Linux systems to read logs and verify system statuses
* Collaborating with IT teams and external partners to resolve operational issues
* Documenting issues and resolutions using Jira or ServiceNow ticketing tools
Key Skills and Competencies
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and competencies:
* Basic Linux/Unix user skills (reading logs, navigating directories)
* Familiarity with Tivoli Dynamic Workload Console (TWS)
* Basic shell scripting knowledge
* Experience with IT ticketing tools like Jira or ServiceNow
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow operational guidelines
* Proficiency in English (mandatory)
Interaction
You will have limited direct interaction with business stakeholders, but will collaborate closely with IT teams and production units.
