The Opportunity
Join a progressive, large-scale fresh-produce business in one of Europe's most exciting growing regions in the Altura region of Portugal. You'll take charge of day-to-day field operations, lifting yield, quality, and team performance across multiple crops.
What you'll do
* Lead and motivate field and harvest teams to deliver daily targets.
* Plan planting, irrigation, nutrition, and crop protection with the Farm Manager.
* Drive harvest readiness: quality checks, timings, and logistics to packhouse/market.
* Track KPIs (yield, quality, waste, labour efficiency) and act fast on variances.
* Maintain standards for H&S, food safety, and audit compliance.
* Optimise machinery, inputs, and water use; champion continuous improvement.
What you bring
* Proven experience in fresh-produce/horticulture operations.
* Hands-on leader: clear communicator, calm under pressure, strong on planning.
* Commercial mindset with data-driven decision making.
* Comfortable with modern farm tech and basic agronomy principles.
* Full driving licence; Portuguese or Spanish a plus (not essential).
