Responsibilities - your mission
Support the Project Manager in industrializing Chromate, Lead, and Basic Primer replacements for Airbus Defence & Space (VERUS programme).
Lead specific Work Packages (WPs), provide Project Management Office (PMO) support, report progress, and follow PMO guidelines.
Ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality industrialization of these replacement projects.
Manage project risks and opportunities.
Collaborate with programme representatives to define the replacement strategy.
Drive decisions from Research & Transformation to final implementation and contribute to future R&T development of Chromate alternatives.
Coordinate cross-functional project teams (Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, Chief Engineering).
Liaise with Airbus Commercial and Airbus Helicopters to ensure group synergies.
Act as the main contact for programme representatives, participate in relevant forums, and report progress on substance replacement.
Assist in preparing the project Steering Committee.
Requirements - our ideal candidate will have
* You are passionate about Airbus D&S products and the environment.
* Previous experience as a project manager; PMP certification is a plus.
* A degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Industrial engineering.
* Experience in procurement, manufacturing engineering, design office, or materials and processes; experience across multiple domains is a plus.
* Experience in aerospace or Airbus divisions is a plus.
* Strong analytical skills and a structured working approach.
* Good presentation and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work in a European team environment and willingness to travel regularly.
* Languages: English at negotiation level; additional languages (German, Spanish, French, Portuguese) are a plus.
