What You’ll Do
The Head of Finance Operations will implement the vision and strategy for Finance Services within the market, leading, directing, and developing the finance team. This role involves managing end-to-end finance service delivery, ensuring compliance with Vodafone policies, and partnering with business units and finance organizations to drive financial performance and transformation.
1. Vision and Strategy Implementation: Lead the development and execution of finance services strategy within the market, overseeing strategic initiatives to drive financial performance.
2. Service Delivery Management: Oversee end-to-end finance service delivery, ensuring alignment with SLAs/KPIs and maintaining high standards of service.
3. Compliance: Ensure adherence to Vodafone policies, IFRS, operational controls, and SOX (if applicable).
4. Business Partnering: Collaborate with LM Business Units, Finance Function, Finance Service Lines, and Local Chief Accountants to ensure accurate financial statements and effective cash flow management.
5. Local R2R Management: Handle non-transactional finance topics impacting financial outcomes.
6. Market Understanding: Understand the local market's business model and translate it into financial statements, aligning outcomes with business plans and strategies.
7. Demand and Cross-Service Coordination: Coordinate new demands and activities across service lines for effective performance.
8. Local Activities Management: Oversee statutory accounts, regulatory reporting, and other finance activities ensuring accuracy.
9. Finance Transformation: Drive finance transformation and digital strategies to improve insights and decision-making.
10. Continuous Improvement: Drive efficiency and cost savings through ongoing service improvements.
11. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Build relationships with key stakeholders and promote regional and global best practices.
12. Team Leadership: Build and develop a high-performing finance team fostering a culture of growth and accountability.
Who You Are
1. Excellent leader, communicator, and influencer with high autonomy and energy.
2. Efficient, resilient, and calm under pressure, with strong organizational skills.
3. Experienced in managing professional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
4. Educational background in accounting, economics, or business; Master’s degree is a plus.
5. Minimum 5 years in a senior finance role, preferably in telecommunications or similar multinational.
6. Knowledge in taxation, IFRS, financial systems, and HR management.
7. Understanding of telecommunications market dynamics and Vodafone’s operations.
8. Experience in finance transformation and digital strategies.
9. Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
