Job Description Summary:
The Development Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the development department in all activities. The development department is responsible for the planning, design, licensing and execution of wind and solar projects. These projects aim to increase the company’s assets portfolio through the development of both standalone and hybrid wind and solar projects. Primarily focus will be development of wind and solar renewable projects located in Portugal including the management and negotiation of new and existing land lease contracts, ensuring the land properties are secured until assets end-of-life
Job Description:
Development of renewable wind and solar power plants
* Managing the development process of wind and solar photovoltaic projects across the Portuguese markets, including liaising with national and regional public entities
* Liaise with external consultants for environmental impact assessments, with the aim of obtaining environmental approval from the administrative institutions (DIA)
* Develop the project up to Ready-to-Build status, ensure all electrical, environmental and municipality permits are obtained, within a budget and financial analysis of the projects
* Liaise with other departments within the company such as legal, engineering and financial, including reporting of project status for the head of department
Real estate management and negotiation
* Negotiate viable and cost-effective land deals that allows existing and projects under development to reach their full potential, recording the meetings held and seeking resolutions as they arise
* Identification of land plots suitable for renewable power plants, understanding technical resource and environmental restrictions. Support on the management of internal data bases, including mapping in GIS platforms
* Commercial and legal understanding of business needs with regards to land agreements and viability of renewable projects.

Essential
* Master degree in Engineering, Environmental, Biology or equivalent
* 4 to 6 years of similar experience (development of utility scale renewable projects)
* Knowledge of environmental and regulatory legislation in Portugal applicable to wind and solar project developments
* Good command of Office Package and knowledge of renewables systems
* High level of commercial awareness
* Driving license
* Fluency in Portuguese and English (required)
Desirable
* Knowledge of technical specifications of wind, solar and BESS projects
* Proficiency in GIS and CAD softwares
Travel requirements
* Frequent travel within Portugal (Lisbon office based)
