Position Description:
CGI is looking for a Business Analyst Administrator (SQL) to join our team.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
1. Be a key participant with the external vendors and the internal IT teams within the hosting location of Paris as a point of contact in relation to technical matters;
2. Comply with and enforce the norms and standards in use: engineering, architecture and security norms and participate in best practice communities;
3. Conduct/manage performance analysis and fine-tuning of processes to minimize any potential adverse impact thus ensuring optimum efficiency of our existing infrastructure;
4. Liaise with IT Application Owner and Release Manager to ensure that the most suitable technical solution is being put in place and is fully understood and documented;
5. Work with other members of the HFS IT team to ensure that interfaces with other applications and third-party applications work as required.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Hard Skills:
• Knowledge of system design, development, implementations, and user support principles and practices
• Experience of querying SQL databases is essential, Mongo experience a plus
• Experience with Linux and Windows, administration including day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting and development is essential
• Understanding of infrastructure, networks, and systems connectivity (e.g. APIs)
Soft Skills:
• Experience of working within a global organization and working with teams across a number of locations
• Demonstrable ability to face challenges with an analytical approach and to find solutions to effectively solve problems
• Ability to liaise with both internal and external parties at all levels in a professional and efficient manner
• Capable and organized team player with excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills, who shares ideas and best practices within the team and across the organization for the benefit of the business
