Key Responsibilities
The payroll specialist will oversee comprehensive end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of federal, state/canton, local, and regulatory requirements.
* Manage payroll operations across multiple entities in Spain and Portugal, providing key support for payroll inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders.
* Collaborate with external vendors to ensure correct data application and settlement, interpreting policies for leaves, disability, allowances, one-time payments, and garnishments.
* Review and validate payroll calculations, including gross pay, bonuses, commissions, pension contributions, absences, and statutory leave.
* Partner with People Systems teams to streamline HR-to-payroll integration processes and enhance operational efficiencies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing, strong knowledge of taxation, audit, and compliance requirements, excellent management skills, and proficiency in business process analysis.
* Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration with HR, finance, tax, and external vendors.
* Fluency in English and Portuguese; additional European language skills are advantageous.
* Detail-oriented approach with confidence handling complex payroll queries and regulations.
