This is a high-impact contract role suited to a senior architect who thrives in global, large-scale environments and can bridge strategy with engineering execution.The Opportunity As Network Platform Architect, you will define, govern, and evolve the organisation's global network architecture, ensuring scalability, security, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with enterprise strategy. You will work cross-functionally with Enterprise Architecture, Technology Platforms, Cyber Security, and Network Engineering teams to drive architectural excellence across a highly distributed global estate.Key Responsibilities Lead thenetwork architectural strategy– build, deliver, and maintain the long-term roadmap Establish and maintainenterprise-wide network architecture standards Ensurearchitectural conformanceacross IT & OT environments globally Align network strategy withEnterprise Architecture, Cyber, Technology Platforms, and Business objectives Drivecost-effective solution designand optimisation initiatives Develop and presentbusiness casesfor strategic network initiatives Produce and maintain architectural artefacts (HLDs, LLD frameworks, reference models, standards) Partner with Network Platform Engineering tooperationalise designed solutions Championcontinual improvementof network products and services Drive adoption ofNetwork Infrastructure as Code (IaC)principles and automation-first approaches️ Experience & Skills Required Proven experience as aNetwork Architectwithin large, global enterprises (multi-site / 500+ locations preferred) Strong background in enterprise network design (WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, Cloud connectivity, Data Centre, Security integration) Experience aligning architecture to Enterprise Architecture frameworks Demonstrated experience withInfrastructure as Code / automation in networking Strong stakeholder engagement and governance experience Experience working across both IT and OT environments is advantageous Strong commercial awareness with experience building business cases Ability to translate strategy into implementable engineering outcomes
