We are currently looking to grow our internal team with a Logistics Technician (Urgent Transport) for our client in Palmela.
What will your responsibilities be?
* Request and organize urgent transports (Chart, OBC, Airfreight, Truck, Vans etc…)
* Follow-up and problem solving of urgent transports (delays, damages and losses)
* Balance solutions in order to achieve the best solution at the lower cost
* Permanent contacts with Transport providers, Disposition Analysts and Suppliers in order to solve problems and clarify transport issues
* Organize transport and follow-up (Time Exemption requirement)
* Calculate transport costs according to Volkswagen Konzernlogistik system (FKR)
* Estimate transport costs by using DHL price-matrix (airfreight or land)
* Analysis of transport costs evolution and proposal of costs optimization
* Organize several transport types for all Autoeuropa areas (Transport Equipment / Tools...) as back of Transport Specialist function.
* Permanent contacts with Transport Partners, Disposition Analysts and Suppliers in order to solve problems and clarify transport issues.
* Spotmarkt request using the Volkswagen Konzernlogistik system Tisys or manually when necessary
* Liaise between Volkswagen Autoeuropa and Carriers / Suppliers and Volkswagen Konzernlogistik
* Supports invoice issuing and problem solving between Volkswagen Konzernlogistik/F, BU and Transports partners.
* Analysis of monthly evolutions in costs and volumes
* Support Invoice checking clarification (Excess Freight and Outbound)
What skills are we looking for?
* High School or Academic Degree in Logistics (preferable)
* Minimum experience of 2 years in Transport Management (preferable)
* Knowledge of Logistics
* Knowledge of MS Office
* Knowledge of VW systems
* Knowledge in English (preferable)
* Knowledge in German (is a plus)
