This is a unique opportunity to work at one big retail company operating in all continents.SAP EDI Specialist (100% Remote in Portugal)We are seeking a highly autonomous and experienced SAP EDI Specialist to take full ownership of our global Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and integration landscape within the Finance environment.As a truly global organization operating across all continents, our processes span both internal and external ecosystems, facilitating massive document and information exchanges worldwide.
You will be working in a robust SAP ECC 6 environment characterized by a very high level of customization.

- End-to-End Ownership: Act as the main point of contact and subject matter expert for all EDI and integration topics within the global Finance domain.
- Architecture & Customization: Manage, maintain, and optimize EDI mappings and configurations within a highly customized SAP ECC 6 environment.
- Global Data Exchange: Ensure seamless internal and external exchange of financial documents and information across all continents.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor message flows, resolve failures in iDOCs, RFCs, and transmission protocols, and minimize business disruption.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal financial teams and external global vendors/banks to implement new integration requirements.Experience and Requirements?
- EDI Protocols: Deep proficiency in X12, EDIFACT, EDI ANSI, and other industry-standard communication protocols.
- SAP Integration: Strong, hands-on experience with iDOCs (configuration, extension, monitoring) and RFCs.
- Environment: Proven experience working with SAP ECC 6, specifically dealing with complex, highly customized environments.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial business processes and electronic document exchange (e.G., invoices, purchase orders, payment advices).
- Fluency in English: Exceptional communication skills are mandatory, as you will interact daily with global stakeholders.
- Total Autonomy: Ability to drive projects, solve complex technical bugs, and make decisions independently without micro-management.
