Job Description
As a Therapeutic Specialist for HIV Medicines, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Gilead’s HIV medicines to healthcare professionals. You will work closely with sales teams, medical science liaisons, national account managers, and marketing teams to achieve sales targets and expand the company's presence in the market.
Responsibilities
• Prepare business plans and regional and account plans for your territory, aligned with local brand plan priorities for HIV, and communicate required actions to achieve goals.
• Identify and map out patient referral journey pathways within your territory and facilitate patient access to treatment.
• Achieve sales targets in assigned territory by establishing strong relationships with key customers and accounts, and delivering on related KPIs.
• Manage territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events, and other external expenditures.
• Represent the company at professional events and promote Gilead’s products.
• Work collaboratively with Medical Science Liaisons, National Account Managers, Marketing, and other internal Gilead team members on various cross-functional projects.
• Organize sales initiatives within the market as directed and ensure their successful completion.
• Participate in the development and mentoring of less experienced team members.
Requirements
Typical candidates will possess a BA or BS degree and 6+ years of relevant sales experience within the pharmaceutical industry. Experience must include 4+ years in specialty sales or the appropriate therapeutic area. A minimum of 2 years as a Therapeutic Specialist is preferred. Achievement of mandatory country-specific pharmaceutical sales certifications is essential.
