Hardware Developer
with a focus on
Electronics
and
PCBA design
to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and testing of our products, with expertise on both hardware development and manufacturing processes. Your mission will involve planning, designing and testing the best & most-reliable products to fulfill the mission of Smartex.
Responsibilities
* Support
the electrical design for a variety of projects and products.
* Produce detaile
detailed schematics
for PCBAs with proper & clean annotation and documentation.
* Work with eCAD for PCBAs
and layout for power systems, analog & digital electronics, high-speed signalling and routing.
* Test & validat
of sub-systems, circuits, and components using a variety of prototyping and testing techniques.
* Perform simulations of electrical sub-systems & circuits using
LTSpice.
* Assist in writing
detailed engineering
and technical documentation for system requirements, design assumptions, AQL for validation, reliability/certification and regression testing and test procedures.
* Execute tests of validation
, reliability/certification and regression to meet product specified requirements and AQL.
* Writing of
detailed test reports/analysis
and recommendations for future developments.
* Participate
in architecting sessions for future projects & products.
* Support the building of
ICT & FCT test jigs
for PCBAs and sub-assemblies.
* Actively Design
for Assembly, Manufacturing and Testing - in different phases of the development stage.
* Contribute to
small firmware and software
services to support electrical development.
Skills & Experience
* 4+ years
of experience in hardware development of embedded electronics products.
* Experience in
high-speed design and/or
analog electronics.
* Familiarity with
hardware product certification
, namely
IEC norms
.
* Hands-on experience in eCAD softwares, preferably
Kicad.
* Experience in LTSpice.
* Experience
developing microcontroller-based embedded systems running real-time operating systems (RTOS)
, covering peripheral abstraction layers, interrupt-driven control, and deterministic task scheduling.
* Nice to have:
knowledge of high-power LED and strobe lighting design
, including pulse-width modulation (PWM), current regulation, and synchronization for high-speed imaging applications.
* Knowledge of
embedded software & firmware
Bash, C/C++
and
Python
is a
nice-to-have
.
* Understanding of the
hardware development lifecycle.
* Excellent verbal and written
communication skills in English & Portuguese.
