WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?
In our team we are looking for photointerpreters for LULC maps production responsible for analyzing and interpreting satellite imagery to classify land use and land cover types. The role involves the application of remote sensing techniques, GIS tools, and environmental knowledge to support large-scale land cover mapping projects. You will:
* Satellite Image Analysis: Analyze high-resolution satellite imagery to identify land cover types. Perform image enhancement, classification, and change detection using remote sensing software.
* Land Cover Classification: Delineate and classify land cover types in accordance with CORINE Land Cover standards. Update land cover maps by interpreting changes in the landscape over time.
* Data Integration and Validation: Integrate auxiliary data sources to improve interpretation accuracy. Validate and cross-check classified land cover data against reference datasets or in-field observations.
* Use of GIS and Remote Sensing Tools: Employ GIS software for spatial data management and map production.
* Documentation and Reporting: Document the methodology, workflow, and interpretation criteria for project reproducibility. Prepare reports, metadata, and visual outputs summarizing the findings.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure data quality and compliance with standard Land Cover guidelines.
