About the Role: Are you a legal professional with a passion for technology and healthcare? We are looking for a Doctoral Candidate to research the intersection of Law, Ethics, and Artificial Intelligence within the research project.
The selected candidate will enroll in a Doctoral Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Digital Health). This is a unique interdisciplinary opportunity for a law graduate to work directly alongside scientists and engineers, translating legal requirements into technical specifications for Medical AI.

Key Research Areas:
* Legal Frameworks: Deep analysis of the AI Act, Medical Device Regulation (MDR), and GDPR applied to health.
* Governance: Developing ethical guidelines and governance structures for algorithmic systems.
* Impact Assessments: Conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) and Fundamental Rights Impact Assessments for AI.
* Integration: Defining how legal requirements can be integrated into the technical design of AI systems ("Legal by Design").
Requirements:
* Education: Degree in Law ( Licenciatura em Direito ).
* Focus: Demonstrated interest in Technology Law, Health Law, Data Protection, or Digital Regulation.
* Interdisciplinary Skills: Ability to grasp the conceptual and functional processes of AI development and validation.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience or courses in LegalTech, RegTech, or HealthTech.
* Familiarity with impact assessments (DPIA/FRIA) or technological soft law.
