As a sous chef at Augusto, you are responsible for planning our menu, ensuring that each dish is nutritious and cost-effective, and collaborating with a team of kitchen staff to deliver food that meets the highest quality standards.To ensure success in your role as sous chef, you are an excellent leader with great organizational skills and impeccable time management.

Responsibilities:
Food preparation and quality control.
Direct, prepare or supervise cooking and other food preparations
Monitor and oversee sanitation practices to ensure that regulations and standards of cleanliness are always being strictly adhered to by employees.
Coordinate all food purchasing, budgeting and planning operations with other staff members
Analyze recipes and make menu changes
Produce high quality plates, including both design and taste.
Ensure that food is top quality and that the kitchen is in good condition.
Maintain our consistently high standard
Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment.
Solve problems that arise and seize control of issues in the kitchen.
Skills:
Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures
Knowledge of food-related curriculum and training techniques
Understanding of raw materials, quality control and other techniques for the effective creation and distribution of food products
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of food preparation regulations and standards
Highly organized

Education and Experience Requirements:
Technical/professional training in the kitchen area
Kitchen experience of 5 years minimum
