The System Monitoring Technician (ME) is responsible for ensuring the continuous availability and performance of the organization's IT systems and infrastructure. By using advanced monitoring tools, the technician detects and responds to system alerts, network issues, and hardware/software failures, escalating problems as needed to ensure fast resolution and minimal downtime. Reporting / Position ME reports to the Operations Manager, himself attached to the Production Manager as part of his activity. Interactions • ME interacts with all Build teams for the installation of products • ME interacts with Delivery Project Managers as part of delivery projects • ME interacts with Client Support as part of operational analysis and problem resolution • ME interacts with the Client Services Manager as part of the business configuration specific to each customer • ME interacts with the ITCS team in the setup and monitoring of technical infrastructure Technical skills • Linux, Windows, and IBM i5 systems • Shell scripting • SQL language • Databases: Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server • TCP/IP Main Activities • Monitor IT systems, networks, servers, and applications using monitoring tools (Nagios). • Respond to alerts and system incidents in real time, ensuring timely identification and resolution of issues. • Escalate critical incidents to relevant IT teams based on defined protocols and severity levels. • Perform initial troubleshooting steps to assist in identifying root causes. • Ensure system availability and backups. • Document incidents, interventions, and outcomes in the ITSM/ticketing system. • Produce regular reports on system health, incidents, and performance trends. • Collaborate with IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and support teams to maintain service quality. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the organization's systems and monitoring tools. • Propose improvements to monitoring processes and alert configurations. English and French speaker are mandatory. Portuguese is a plus.
