About the Role
We are seeking a talented professional to join our team in Mercer Alternatives.
This position will be based in Porto or Lisbon, and requires at least three days of office work per week.
Mercer Alternatives is a global specialist in alternative investments, including private markets. We offer advisory services and customized investment solutions for institutional investors across various asset classes.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough research on fund managers, considering both qualitative and quantitative factors with a focus on infrastructure.
* Collaborate with local and onshore teams to produce high-quality research deliverables.
* Demonstrate expertise in leading the manager research vertical.
* Contribute to investment decision-making and manager selection processes.
* Ensure proprietary databases are up-to-date.
* Monitor portfolio performance and market trends.
* Develop reports for internal and external presentations.
Requirements:
* Fluent English language skills (C1/C2 level).
* Degree in Finance, Economics, Management, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
* Familiarity with private markets asset classes, including Private Equity, Private Debt, Infrastructure, and Real Estate, is preferred.
* Experience in global markets with exposure to alternative asset classes.
* Able to thrive in a dynamic team environment, supporting colleagues while managing own tasks and projects.
* Effective communication skills to engage with various teams across the organization and solve problems collaboratively.
* Able to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deliverables simultaneously.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Results-driven and proactive, with the ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively.
* Strong critical thinking skills to navigate challenges.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other core Microsoft Office applications.
