About Index
Index is a premium DTC basics brand owned by Rovo Group.
After relaunching our Shopify site and revitalizing our visual identity and product offering, we're now focused on operational excellence and data-driven growth.
To support this, we're hiring a hands-on, detail-oriented E-Commerce Manager who can help us make smarter decisions, faster.
Role Overview
As the E-Commerce Manager, you will oversee the full e-commerce ecosystem, from website structure and catalog strategy to conversion optimization and market insights.
You'll ensure the online experience aligns with brand positioning, product strategy, and commercial goals, making data-driven decisions to improve performance, drive sales, and build a high-converting digital flagship.
Key Responsibilities

Website Strategy
Define and evolve the website architecture, navigation, and content structure in alignment with brand and user experience goals.
Ensure the online store communicates Index's brand identity clearly and cohesively across pages and touchpoints.
Partner with design and tech teams to implement best practices for usability, site speed, and mobile responsiveness.
Product Catalog & Merchandising
Own the catalog strategy, defining product hierarchy, naming conventions, collections, and navigation logic.
Continuously evaluate product performance: identify bestsellers, underperformers, and gaps in assortment.
Ensure catalog size, depth, and variation align with brand positioning, inventory levels, and demand trends.
Coordinate stock strategy: define when and what to hold in inventory versus produce-to-order models.
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
Lead CRO initiatives to increase conversion, AOV, and retention.
Conduct UX and funnel audits to diagnose drop-offs and friction points across product and checkout journeys.
Test and implement site improvements (A/B testing, landing pages, product detail optimizations, etc.) with measurable impact.
Performance Analysis & Insights
Monitor e-commerce KPIs: traffic, conversion rate, AOV, bounce rate, product sell-through, and returns.
Translate analytics into actionable insights, from catalog curation to pricing or promotional strategy.
Conduct competitive benchmarking and market analysis to stay ahead of category and consumer trends.
Operational & Cross-Functional Alignment
Ensure seamless integration between marketing, operations, and product teams to guarantee alignment on launches, availability, and campaigns.
Oversee stock availability and sync between backend systems and Shopify to prevent mismatches or out-of-stock gaps.
Support finance and leadership with forecasts and data-driven recommendations that optimize margin and sell-through.
Preferred Qualifications (Must-have/Nice-to-have)
Must-have
5+ years of experience in E-Commerce Management, ideally within DTC, fashion, or lifestyle brands.
Proven track record of managing Shopify, from catalog setup to analytics.
Strong grasp of conversion optimization and digital merchandising.
Analytical mindset, ability to interpret data and turn insights into strategy.
Clear communication and fluent English (written and spoken).
Nice-to-have
Fashion, apparel, or merch DTC background.
Understanding of inventory management and DTC operational flows.
UX and visual merchandising insight.
Experience working in start-up or scale-up environments.
