Role Overview
A Corporate Wine Ambassador is sought to join the team on a luxury cruise liner. This dynamic professional will be responsible for enhancing the onboard wine experience, providing exceptional customer service and playing a key role in the selection of fine wines.
* Deliver expert training to staff on wine appreciation and pairing techniques, ensuring that guests receive personalized recommendations;
* Design and execute engaging wine tasting events, fostering a sense of community among passengers;
* Collaborate with the ship's sommelier to curate an impressive wine list, featuring premium selections from around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
* Wine Training & Education: Deliver comprehensive wine training sessions, focusing on varietal characteristics, flavor profiles and wine and food pairing principles;
* Event Management: Conceptualize and coordinate wine tasting events, incorporating interactive elements and live music;
* Wine Selection: Collaborate with the ship's sommelier to source high-quality wines, ensuring a diverse and compelling wine list.
Requirements:
* Professional Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a related role, preferably within the hospitality or wine industry;
* Sommelier Certification: Professional certification as a Sommelier, with a strong understanding of wine regions, grape varieties and wine production methods;
* Excellent Communication Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively with staff and guests, ensuring seamless delivery of exceptional service;
* Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork;
* Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new software quickly and adapt to changing technology.
