We're seeking a dynamic, results-driven individual to join as Business Controller at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal. Key Accountabilities Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision making to management. Develop budgets, forecast & financial reports to track the company's performance. Track key performance indicators to measure company's progress through the year. Work closely with all departments to identify & mitigate risks and opportunities that can impact company's financial performance. Monitor cost expenses to assure they are in line with plant budget and expectations. Key element in implementing, audit & control internal procedures aligned with SOX criteria. Responsible for business cases analysis regarding new projects quotation. Responsible for developing the financial business portfolio supporting any investment or other cost reduction programs. Responsible for inventory valuation and ERP movements control, ensuring correct product value and inventory accuracy. Product profit follow-up, guaranteeing that financials are in line with standard process and budget values. Responsible for several monthly statements reports to corporate, assuring a timely notice of all business trends and impact (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, cash flow and operational issues). Participate in the management and leadership of the business. Establish continuous improvement plans to lead controlling department to a benchmark level, efficient, accountable & reliable. Facilitate efficient and open communication within the department and with other departments in the organization. Ensure the respect and compliance with the safety and cleanliness rules of the workstation. Continuously ensure the improvement of health, safety and environmental conditions. Participate in the definition, implementation and maintenance of the organization's policies. Participate in the definition of objectives of the Environmental Management Policy, Health and Safety at Work. Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the Environmental Management Policy, Health and Safety at Work. Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety at work standards, policies and practices in accordance with their level of responsibility. Develop a culture characterized by good professional ethics and involvement in the process among employees in all areas. Comply with environmental, health and safety, quality and productivity standards. Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics, practice and working period. Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules. Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which they were hired, when the needs or convenience of service so warrant, for the period of time necessary for the aforementioned needs or convenience of service. Education & Experience Degree in Accounting, Economics or Management or related areas. Good understanding & knowledge of accounting process > 2 years of experience in similar position & in the industrial sector. Good knowledge of international accounting standards, US GAAP. Experience with SAP ERP System (preferable). Master Microsoft Office tools & Power BI tools (preferable). Knowledge of cost calculation and control tools and methods. Results Oriented Interpersonal Savy, Resilient & critical thinking. Experience in the automotive industry (plus). Fluent in English (mandatory). Fluent in Portuguese.
