Logistics Specialist Job Description
The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating inbound and outbound logistical operations, ensuring the efficient supply of goods to our customers. This includes managing inventory, warehousing operations, regulating warehouse space, and arranging shipments and local transportation.
In addition to these responsibilities, the candidate will be responsible for proposing and implementing complex logistics projects that have an impact on the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the area. This may involve implementing new processes and methodologies in logistics according to established guidelines, such as new regulations, legislation, policies, and practices.
The Logistics Specialist will also ensure that logistics policies are followed by the logistics teams, conducting controls, verifications, and monitoring. They will prepare complex documentations related to logistics, analyzing and reviewing KPIs. The candidate will communicate with external authorities, customers, and suppliers in all relevant regions and countries to support logistics processes and solve complex problems.
Another important aspect of this role is optimizing resources and procedures for continuous improvement. The Logistics Specialist will conduct complex analysis and reports related to logistics and follow customer and authorities audits and inspections. They will guarantee the implementation of needed changes as requested.
Additionally, the Logistics Specialist will collaborate in the training of warehouse teams, proposing contents and delivering training sessions when required. They will keep a sound knowledge of current legislation and regulation in terms of logistics in the allocated regions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics processes and tools, including import/export and warehouse management. They will have experience working in Supply Chain at Hovione (desired) and fluency in English (required). A very strong understanding of cGMP and GDP regulations is essential. Experience working in Supply Chain is highly desired. Fluency in Mandarin is also a plus.
Job Requirements:
* University or equivalent qualification in Business Administration or similar field
* Typically requires 5-8 years of relevant experience in logistics in the chemical industry (B2B)
* Significant experience of working in a fine chemicals or pharmaceutical production environment
* A very strong understanding of cGMP and GDP regulations
* Fluency in English
