Project Manager – SAP Transformation & PMI (Post-Merger Integration) Location: Remote / Hybrid (Europe-based preferred) Freelance Contract Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a large-scale SAP transformation and Post-Merger Integration (PMI) program. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating cross-functional workstreams, driving project execution, maintaining governance structures, and supporting business transformation initiatives across multiple stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong SAP ecosystem knowledge, project management expertise, and experience in complex transformation programs. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution Maintain and continuously update the integrated project plan. Translate strategic objectives into actionable tasks, milestones, and deliverables. Monitor project progress, dependencies, risks, issues, and critical milestones. Support the execution of the PMI workstream and act as a trusted partner to the PMI Lead. Ensure readiness for key project phase gates and go-live activities. Drive proactive mitigation and resolution of project risks and roadblocks. Cross-Functional Coordination & Governance Coordinate activities across Quality & Regulatory Affairs (QRA), IT, business workstreams, and external stakeholders. Manage cross-functional dependencies and facilitate issue resolution. Establish and maintain effective governance structures and meeting cadences. Prepare steering committee and governance materials, including presentations, status reports, and decision papers. Support leadership teams in project decision-making and escalation management. Communication & Change Enablement Support project communications and change management activities. Promote and facilitate the early adoption of AI-enabled tools and ways of working. Organize and coordinate project meetings, including agenda preparation, minutes, action tracking, and follow-up. Provide regular project reporting to stakeholders and leadership teams. Ensure transparent communication across all levels of the organization. Required Skills & Experience Project & Transformation Management Proven experience managing complex transformation, integration, or SAP implementation programs. Strong project planning, coordination, governance, and stakeholder management skills. Experience supporting PMI (Post-Merger Integration) initiatives is highly desirable. Familiarity with project management methodologies and governance frameworks. SAP Expertise Experience with SAP RISE programs and cloud transformation initiatives. Strong understanding of SAP Integrated Toolchain, including: LeanIX SAP Signavio SAP Cloud ALM Experience with Process Management in BIC and Signavio. Knowledge of SAP business process transformation and operational excellence initiatives. Soft Skills Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong organizational and coordination capabilities. Ability to work effectively in complex, international, and cross-functional environments. Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset. Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in regulated industries (Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, or Manufacturing). Exposure to AI-enabled transformation initiatives. PMP, Prince2, Agile, or equivalent project management certifications. Experience working within global SAP transformation programs.
