Our client is an international industrial group currently investing in Portugal, with the establishment of a new manufacturing facility in the country and a Support Office in Porto.
Description
* Design, analyze, and optimize logistics networks, including transportation routes and warehouse layouts;
* Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs;
* Collaborate with procurement, production, and distribution teams to align logistics strategies with business objectives;
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations and implement corrective actions when needed;
* Lead projects focused on automation, digitalization, and sustainability within logistics processes;
* Coordinate with external logistics providers and ensure compliance with service level agreements;
* Analyze transportation and warehousing costs to identify savings opportunities.
Profile
* Academic background in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field;
* 8+ years of experience in logistics engineering, supply chain optimization, or operations management;
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data-driven decision-making tools;
* Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies;
* Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Fluency in English.
