Data Security Specialist
The Data Security Specialist role is the central point of contact for all matters related to technical data protection at our organization. This position ensures compliance with technical data protection requirements, including relevant laws and regulations.
* Supports the identification and assessment of data protection risks;
* Develops internal policies for technical data protection;
* Monitors organizational compliance with these policies and applicable laws;
* Assists in preventing, monitoring, and reporting data breaches and data protection violations;
* General data protection tasks (e.g., reviewing inquiries regarding data protection issues; preparing and delivering training sessions).
The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of information technology and data management systems. They should have a solid understanding of EU data compliance regulations and awareness of other major national data compliance frameworks. Additionally, they should have experience with GDPR and be proficient in project management and change management skills.
We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills, business-fluent English skills, and intercultural sensitivity. The ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Key Qualifications:
* An academic degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a comparable field;
* A qualification or certification in Data Compliance (desired);
* At least 3 years of professional experience in a compliance, legal, audit, or risk function;
* Experience with GDPR;
* Knowledge of information technology and data management systems;
* Solid understanding of EU data compliance regulations and awareness of other major national data compliance frameworks;
* Motivation in forward-looking topics like AI;
* Project management and change management skills;
* Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment;
* Business-fluent English skills (spoken and written);
* Strong communication skills and a team-player mentality;
* Intercultural sensitivity;
* Openness to travel up to 10%, including business trips abroad.
