Project cost control and budgeting (M/F)
The Mecwide Group is a reference in the construction and maintenance industry, providing highly qualified services in Metalworking, Engineering, and Construction sectors with industrial units established in Portugal, Europe, and Africa. We are recruiting for our Technical Assistance Business Unit located in Lisbon (Oeiras).
Responsibilities
- Resources budget preparation and control, including variance analysis and proposal of corrective measures
- Projects Cost Control and Invoicing
- Payroll support information and control
- Monitoring of KPIs and activity indicators, ensuring the reliability and timeliness of information
- Workforce planning and monitoring (headcount, absenteeism, productivity), ensuring alignment between available resources and operational needs
- Development of analytical models and process review, identifying optimisation opportunities
- Support for tender and proposal preparation, coordinating inputs from HR, Operations and Finance and ensuring timely submissions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or related field
- Up to 1 year of experience in a similar role of workforce cost planning and control and/or Controlling
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- Strong command of MS Office tools, particularly Excel
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured and detail-oriented approach
- Strong organisational skills, time management and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneouslyEffective communication and ability to collaborate across multiple teams (HR, Operations, Finance)
- Business acumen with a results-driven mindset, oriented towards planning, process management and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of the metalworking or industrial sector will be valued
