Job Overview
This role is based in Ovar, Portugal and involves checking requisitions lists, submitting purchase orders and actively following up the supply chain flow to ensure timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
* Verify list of requisitions for materials and place timely purchase orders according to centrally outlined category strategy, supplier selection and pricing.
* Liaise with Transport Planners to organize transports and provide necessary information.
* Follow up the supply chain flow and scheduled deliveries to assure lead times are met.
* Anticipate or delay purchase orders based on priorities and planning revisions.
* Report constraints to adjust planning and submit supplier complaints.
* Maintain a close relation with suppliers and provide inputs on supplier performance to central category managers for regular evaluation.
* Solve potential invoice blocks due to quantity or price discrepancies.
Qualifications & Skills
* Minimum 3 years experience in a similar procurement role.
* Solid English language skills, both verbal and written.
* User-level knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel) and SAP.
* Proactive, autonomous, able to work in a fast-moving environment.
* Resident in Ovar or nearby area.
