Job Description
As an IT Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing the architecture of Central Purchasing Solutions, orchestrating and integrating all components, and driving technical integration scenarios. You will also provide technical integration scenarios to connect further cloud solutions, support interoperability, and lead safeguarding measurements.
Key responsibilities include:
* Designing the architecture of Central Purchasing Solutions, including strategy, roadmap, and implementation;
* Orchestrating and integrating all components, considering the overall IT strategy;
* Driving technical integration scenarios for Purchasing Architecture Landscape, including Master Data Integration, SAP R/3, and S/4 Backend integration;
* Providing technical integration scenarios to connect further cloud solutions and support interoperability;
* Sizing Core Purchasing Applications with zero unplanned downtime and high availability;
* Providing high performance E2E to deliver best-in-class user experience;
* Continuous improvement of existing technology targeting state-of-the-industry standards;
* Leading technical maintenance for global Purchasing applications, including maintenance strategy, roadmap, and implementation;
* Service owner for System Operation of Continental Group SAP Systems, SAP Portal, SAP SRM, SAP SRM SUS, and SAP S/4;
* Coordination of technical teams and experts from SAP System provider, SAP Basis, Infrastructure, and SAP Group Sectors;
* Supporting selection process for main components;
* Supporting infrastructure in maintenance of underlying components;
* Ensuring E2E monitoring and interface monitoring;
* Technical Lead and Coordination for external staff;
* Project Lead for Cross-Group Sector projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* University degree in Computer Science, Economics, or related qualification;
* Several years of relevant professional experience in IT area (SAP and/or Non-SAP applications);
* Several years of work experience in IT Projects (agile and waterfall);
* In-depth knowledge of Source-to-Pay processes and solutions;
* Experience with SAP SRM/MM;
* Experience with leading Purchasing Suite providers (a plus);
* IT Service Management experience (a plus);
* Proficient English language skills (written and spoken);
* Interest in new technologies towards digitalization;
* Very efficient, reliable, and responsible way of working;
* Very good communication and presentation skills;
* Ability to cooperate with globally distributed teams – internal as well as external;
* Highly self-motivated, assertive, and skilled at resolving conflict, as well as high customer service orientation;
* Willingness for occasional business trips (up to 15%).
