Overview
ADA opens a call for 1 research fellowship within Project ESCIB – Developing environmental sustainability & circularity assessment methodologies for industrial bio-based systems (grant number *********), funded by the European Union.

Responsibilities / Work Plan
* Collaborate in the development of prospective Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and circularity assessment methodologies for biobased systems.
* Participate in meetings with companies and partners involved in the ESCIB project and assist in data collection.
* Collaborate in the preparation of scientific publications and project deliverables.
Qualifications
* Master's degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or a related field.
* Enrolled in a PhD course at a Portuguese higher education institution, or in a non-academic degree course.
* Knowledge in life-cycle assessment (LCA) and circularity assessment of biobased systems, preferably with authorship of scientific publications.
* Experience in LCA and circularity assessment is desirable.
* Non-academic degree must be related to the scholarship activity.
Regime
Exclusive dedication regime; fellowship awarded under the ADAI Fellowship Statute and respects the relevant Research Fellowship regulations of FCT, I.P.
Location
Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of Coimbra or other required locations.
Duration & Renewal
6 months exclusive, with possible renewal but never beyond the project end date. Renewal determined by applicable regulations.

Financial Conditions
€1,****** per month (as per FCT table), plus personal accident insurance and potential social security reimbursement. Payment by bank transfer.
Selection Process
All applications received within the deadline and with required documents will be evaluated.
Curricular evaluation criteria: 70% Life Cycle Assessment knowledge; 30% Motivation Letter.
Interview criteria: motivation, autonomy, task knowledge, and start availability. Minimum curricular score for interview: 75%. Jury may not award the scholarship if the candidate does not meet the required background and skills.
