Mission:
The Spa Manager responsibilities include overseeing spa operations, ensuring outstanding guest service, and directing spa staff. The Spa Manager will report to the Global Director of Serenity.
Job Description:
* Overseeing all daily spa operations and management of the spa facilities;
* Providing high-level services, participating in the planning and organization;
* Maintaining the company's philosophy in promoting services and products;
* Assist with marketing and promotional efforts to increase business and revenue;
* Implementation of Staff training in all aspects of the Spa's operations, i.e. business telephone usage, guest relations, retail sales, spa services (massage, body scrub, facial, etc.);
* Handle customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner;
* Guiding and supervising spa team, encouraging teamwork;
* Ensuring excellent guest service standards;
* Answering customer inquiries;
* Maintain client databases;
* Maintaining spa industry knowledge;
* Adjusting the spa menu as needed;
* Hire employees and verify staff credentials;
* Preparing staff schedules;
* Comply with staff training programs;
* Assess employee performance;
* Ensure compliance with applicable health regulations and hygiene standards;
* Recording daily cash flow/perform accounting duties;
* Generating financial and sales reports;
* Setting spa budgets;
* Perform MOD shifts as required;
* And any others deemed necessary by the Global Director of Serenity.
Requirements:
* High School diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Aesthetics, Physiotherapy, or related field;
* Minimum of 3-5 years progressive experience in management position in a spa industry;
* Experience in the hospitality industry is an asset;
* Must have excellent knowledge of standard retail store operations procedures and excellent managerial and supervisory skills, as well as, proper motivational skills;
* In-depth knowledge of spa treatments, products, and trends;
* Ability to create and manage budgets, schedules, and reports;
* Excellent communication, problem-solving and customer service skills;
* Customer-oriented and selling skills;
* Ability to manage and motivate a team of spa staff;
* Teamwork skills and spirit;
* Multitasking and basic knowledge of MS Office suite;
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
