">About the Role:
Avantor is seeking a highly skilled and proactive senior supplier development specialist to join our team. This high-impact role involves analyzing supplier performance, resolving issues, and identifying improvement opportunities that directly enhance our distribution network's efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide monthly analysis of supplier performance and highlight opportunities for improvement to senior supplier operations directors.
* Drive supplier-led initiatives to enhance service, quality, and cost efficiency.
* Review audit findings and work with suppliers to implement corrective actions that improve shipment quality.
* Use supplier scorecards to identify and address issues affecting distribution center (DC) performance.
Requirements:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, or business finance.
2. Experience: Proven experience in supplier development, operations, or supply chain roles.
3. Certifications: APICS/CPIM certification preferred but not required.
4. Strong knowledge of forecasting, inventory planning, and logistics operations.
5. Demonstrated experience with project leadership and formal problem-solving methodologies (e.g., lean, six sigma).
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint); working knowledge of SAP, QlikView, and/or Power BI a plus.
