As Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for constructing models to solve business problems, communicating with the technical team, and ensuring delivery meets business expectations.
You will also work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data analytics initiatives.
Main Accountabilities Design, create, test, and implement complex models and algorithms that drive analytical solutions across the organization.Provide technical support for data scientists across multiple squads.Collaborate with business analysts to understand business problems and implement scalable, sustainable solutions.Define development standards and solution approaches.Design and structure reusable codebases.Coordinate with MIS, Digital Specialists, and Data Engineers to deliver holistic analytical solutions.Communicate the design, functioning, and output of analytical models/solutions.Ensure timely analysis and testing for regular maintenance of solutions.Communicate data insights to stakeholders.Knowledge and Technical Competencies Make decisions aligned with Bunge's global strategy, business needs, and financial goals, driving innovation.Cultivate strong relationships, influence others effectively, and develop talent.Develop data-driven strategies aligned with Bunge's priorities, and energize others through clear communication.Proficient in data science, machine learning, programming languages like Python or R, SQL, data analysis, and analytical skills.Assist in structuring problems/hypotheses and converting them into advanced analytics approaches, including machine learning and optimization components.Help business understand data science and optimization concepts to facilitate better communication across functions.Education/Experience Advanced knowledge in mathematics, analytics, and computer science, with expertise in machine learning methods, statistical models, and advanced data science programming.Avoid common mistakes, ensure logical soundness in models, revisit high-performing systems, write reusable code, build resilient data pipelines in cloud environments, and prepare clean data.Capable of mentoring associates and other data scientists, and communicating with stakeholders and management.Model behavior as a team player and foster new ideas.Regular communication with project stakeholders.Bunge (NYSE: BG) is a world leader in sourcing, processing, and supplying oilseed and grain products and ingredients.
