Senior Director Regional Controlling Europe Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Director to lead our regional controlling operations in Europe. This role involves overseeing the financial function, including accounting, tax, and treasury, as well as contributing to regional strategy and budget planning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Full responsibility for the finance function in the European region, including accounting, tax, and regional controlling.
* Sitting in regional leadership team, contribute to regional strategy to set forth plans to achieve cost objectives, headcount planning, etc.
* Drive financial decisions, be accountable for regional budgets and capital expenditures, liaise with auditors, ensure SOX compliance, and influence business planning and strategy.
* Directs regional division treasury operations including cash management, care and custody of funds and other assets, and banking operations.
* Hiring, building and leading a team of country financial managers throughout Europe.
* Structuring corporate reporting to manage corporate performance.
* Reporting on business development to top management, and the Supervisory Board.
* Lead budget/planning processes and monitor an effective cost control system.
* Responsible for the accuracy of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements with the finance team.
* Support/lead strategic and operational projects related to the implementation of tools and data integrity across all financial systems.
* Continuous evaluation and adaptation of business processes.
* Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for the business.
Requirements:
* At least 10 years of experience in general accounting, financial planning/reports or related experience.
* Bachelor's degree in related discipline. Professional certification such as CPA/Chartered Accountant/local country equivalent preferred.
* Extensive knowledge of general accounting principles and accounting systems.
* Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong analytical skills & the ability to interpret financial data.
* Experience with team management.
