Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and manage all facets of Network Administration, Telephone Systems, and Video Administration for Ryan.
- Design and provide day-to-day support within the Network and Telecommunications department focusing on network switches, routers, load balancers, firewalls, cabling, wireless solutions, IDS devices and external connectivity.
- Deliver mission-critical infrastructure with high availability, performance, and security; demonstrate superb technical competency and time management.
- Create a positive team member experience and act as a technical reference for staff on existing and upcoming technologies.
- Manage and deliver multiple projects with excellent time management and leadership skills.
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify solutions, and collaborate with developers to implement fixes.
- Cross-train other members of the Information Technology department; provide 2nd and 3rd level support; assist the Service Desk as needed.
- Perform on-call duties on a rotational basis.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of computer/network principles typically gained through a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technology field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- More than 5 years of Networking Engineering experience in medium to large multi-location environments.
- More than 10 years of technical support experience in medium to large multi-location environments.
- Ability to train others quickly on key networking concepts; professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
- Security management experience including firewall configurations, IDS configuration, and audit compliance reporting.
- Experience selecting and managing MPLS vendors; WAN optimization experience preferred.
- Experience with network management and troubleshooting tools; designing multi-location architectures; knowledge of unified communications is a plus.
- Experience following Incident and Change management processes; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of personnel and vendors; able to work under pressure and in a team environment.
- Strong business analysis and problem-solving abilities; ability to explain complex concepts and collaborate on technical strategies.
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of DHCP/DNS, subnets, routing protocols, switching, firewalls/policy NAT/rules, spanning tree, VoIP, QoS, VLANs, LAN/WAN technologies, load balancers, and wireless technologies.
Certificates And Licenses
- CCNA certification valued; CCNP or CCIE certification a plus.
