Productivity Buyer Role
The Series Productivity Buyer is responsible for enhancing supplier performance in production, focusing on quality, cost, and delivery efficiency across multiple plants. This role contributes to the identification and implementation of productivity actions aimed at cost reduction, working closely with Commodity teams.
The primary objectives of this position include:
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams in the plants under their responsibility to monitor and improve productivity performance.
* Presenting a productivity plan to plant management boards and challenging commodity buyers to achieve purchasing budget targets.
* Supporting supply chain teams in addressing critical topics related to supplier deviations and misdeliveries per million.
* Leading negotiations for engineering change requests and product productivity within their scope, in close coordination with commodities.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business, with specialization in international purchasing or supply chain preferred.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in purchasing, production, quality, or sales, with automotive experience being advantageous.
You will also need strong skills and competencies, including:
* Knowledge of productivity/lean management methodology.
* Understanding of production, quality, and logistics.
* English fluency.
* Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
